Changelog
0.31.1 • Fixed the Worlds and Credits screens not showing (black screen) • Site address set to playkocky.com
0.31.0 • Worlds save automatically in your browser (every 30 seconds, when you pause, and when you leave the tab). New Worlds screen and a Continue button. Exporting and importing world files still works, now in every browser • Credits screen • Friendly messages when WebGL is missing, on phones, or if the browser cannot play the sounds, and a notice if something goes wrong • Page icon, title and share image; the game files are hosted together with the page
0.30.0 • Mobs are solid-ish now: walking into a mob (or a mob into you, or mobs into each other) gives a soft, smooth push. A Mother Slime shoves harder
0.29.4 • New worlds default to Survival • Hostile mobs ignore players in creative and spectator mode (they no longer chase you) • Better spawning: it works in creative too, mobs spawn 24-64 blocks away, the population scales with the loaded area around you, refills quickly when you travel, and far away mobs gradually despawn
0.29.2 • Removed the white outline when you look at a mob • New slime membrane texture (16x16, translucent fill): the membrane is now truly see-through, drawn in a back layer and a front layer around the jelly core
0.29.1 • A Mother Slime splits into two small slimes when she is defeated (she now drops 1-3 gel; each baby drops its own)
0.29.0 • First mob: the Slime. A see-through hopping jelly (stretches sideways before each hop). Neutral by day until you hit it, hunts you at night, hops faster when hunting. Mother Slime is twice the size. Drops Slime Gel. Spawns on the surface and sometimes in caves (survival) • Attacking: left-click a mob (hand or tools). Knockback for mobs and for you. /summon slime [mother], /kill @e • New Combat branch stages in the Progression Guide
0.28.1 • Faster world loading: chunks load nearest-first and are shown as soon as they are ready; a bigger time budget while many chunks near you are missing; a loading screen with a progress bar when joining a world; fully buried blocks are skipped when building meshes
0.28.0 • The Hungry update: hunger bar, a visible saturation bar, exhaustion from sprinting, jumping, swimming and mining, natural regeneration, starvation, and no sprinting when hunger is 6 or lower • Hold the right mouse button to eat. New foods: Roasted Acorn and Roasted Wheat Seeds (cook raw acorns and seeds in a furnace). Food tooltips show hunger and saturation • /food command, Food creative tab, /give names for all farming items
0.27.0 • Farming: wild wheat grows on grass and drops Wheat Seeds. Hoes (6 tiers) till grass and dirt into farmland. Seeds grow into wheat on wet soil; soil dries when the crop is ripe. Bronze Sprinkler wets soil within 4 blocks. Tin Bucket (60 uses) and Tin Watering Can (5 water levels, never wears out). A new Farming branch in the Progression Guide • Shapeless crafting is supported (the sprinkler keeps its empty bucket)
0.26.0 • Sounds are material based again: grass, dirt, stone, wood, sand, snow, leaves, glass and cloth can each have their own step, break, place and hit sound. A material without its own sound plays the shared one, so you can add them one at a time
0.25.2 • Removed the hand punch sound (the punch slot stays, silent, for a future sound) • Footsteps: a step plays as soon as you start moving, so short steps are heard; steps keep playing on hills and stairs; running steps are quicker and slightly higher in pitch
0.25.1 • First real sounds: 3 footsteps (random), hand punch, block break, glass break, click, death • New sound slots: punch (bare hand) and break_glass; clicks now also sound in the Progression Guide
0.25.0 • Sound rework: all built-in placeholder sounds are removed, nothing is synthesized anymore. Sounds are now shared: one walking sound for every surface, one break, one place, and so on. Anything without a sound file is silent until one is added
0.24.1 • Bigger, easier to read text in the Progression Guide, Recipes page and stage notifications (it also scales with the window size); wider guide panel
0.24.0 • Progression Guide is split into Technology, Combat (placeholder until mobs exist) and Exploration branches; stages can require stages from other branches • New Exploration stages: world map, walking distance, every biome, climbing, diving deep, placing a torch underground, sleeping in a bed • Fixed the broken Progression page layout (a style name clashed with the furnace menu)
0.23.0 • Progression Guide (press L, or the Guide button in the inventory): a chain of stages from your first log to steel tools. Finishing a stage unlocks the next. Progress is tracked in survival mode and saved with the world • Recipes page: every crafting recipe, smelting recipe and fuel • A pop-up in the top right tells you about the guide when you start playing
0.22.0 • Chests now open a menu with 54 slots (a big, roomy chest). Contents are saved with the world and drop when the chest is broken • Items keep their durability when shift-clicked between inventories
0.21.0 • New block: Chest (14×14×14 px model with latch and a lid that swings; right-click opens/closes the lid for now - storage comes next). Recipe: 8 planks in a ring. Texture: textures/entity/chest.png (64×64)
0.20.3 • Door edges and top/bottom now use a 3-pixel strip of the door texture instead of a stretched copy
0.20.2 • Brighter nights (higher minimum) and torches light a much larger area • The player in the inventory is no longer darkened at night • Fixed a small stutter when breaking blocks near torches (only chunks whose light changed are rebuilt now)
0.20.1 • New textures: blast furnace, quartzite, quartzite bricks, quartzite brick item, new sun • Blast furnace bottom now uses its top texture • Removed the unused flat bed item texture (the slot now holds quartzite_brick)
0.20.0 • New item: Quartzite Brick. Smelt Quartzite in a furnace (1 → 2 bricks); craft 2×2 Quartzite Bricks into a Quartzite Bricks block (blast furnace recipe unchanged)
0.19.1 • New textures: copper & tin ore, glass, torch, oak door (block + item), copper/bronze/steel tools, copper/tin/bronze/steel ingots, charcoal
0.19.0 • The bed is now a 3D model item (inventory, hand, third person, dropped) instead of a flat icon, and is called White Bed
0.18.1 • Particles while mining a block (crumbs fly off the face you hit) • New white bed textures (including bed_head_north and bed_down)
0.18.0 • Block break particles: small bits of the block's own texture burst out, fall and bounce
0.17.5 • Smooth camera when stepping up onto beds and other low blocks
0.17.4 • You can stand and walk on beds (no more bouncing); low blocks up to 0.6 high are stepped onto automatically
0.17.3 • Bed model rebuilt from its original model files (mattress, legs and texture regions)
0.17.2 • Bed model with a mattress, frame and legs, using the separate bed textures
0.17.1 • Iron smelts in a normal furnace again, so iron tools matter • Quartzite: a deep layer that needs an iron pickaxe • Quartzite bricks, and the blast furnace is built from them
0.17.0 • Ore progression: copper, tin, bronze, iron (needs a blast furnace), steel • Tool tiers and durability: wood, stone, copper, bronze, iron, steel • Alloy smelting with two inputs, charcoal, blast furnace • New ores generate underground in clusters
0.16.4 • Glass panes keep their border where they touch air or other blocks, but not between panes • The black block outline now follows the shape of torches, panes, doors and beds
0.16.3 • Glass panes: seamless connected panes without borders, no stretched texture, clear see-through look • Wall torches sit into the wall
0.16.2 • Single glass panes are now a thin post • Torches: correct top texture, wall torches lean against the wall • Doors pick their hinge from the side you click and nearby walls or doors; each door opens on its own
0.16.1 • Smoother and brighter torch light (smooth lighting, level 15) • Doors pick their hinge smartly: double doors, doors next to walls, and linked opening
0.16.0 • Torches with real block light (also lit furnaces glow) • Glass, glass panes and wooden doors • Beds: sleep through the night and set your respawn point • Sand smelts into glass in the furnace
0.15.3 • The world no longer pauses while the inventory, chat or map is open
0.15.2 • Fixed sound: it clashed with block targeting, which froze the game and silenced all sounds
0.15.1 • The game now survives errors instead of freezing and shows an error banner • Sound errors can no longer stop the game; sound can be switched off in Settings
0.15.0 • Sound system: footsteps per material, breaking, placing, mining, hurt, landing, water, buckets, pickups, UI clicks and ambient loops • Built-in placeholder sounds; replace them with a sound pack (.ogg/.mp3/.wav, see the template) • Master, effects and ambient volume sliders
0.14.2 • Clouds are now 3D, lower and denser
0.14.1 • Clouds fade out with distance like the terrain fog • Sun and moon pass directly overhead and turn with the sky instead of spinning
